The Fourth Turning
Congratulations Andrew Tanner on the thorough academic presentation and analysis.
The most talented post I have ever read on Substack. I have recommended it widely.
You cleverly combine insights from systems theory, the book “The Fourth Turning”, mathematics, physics, political science, economics, sociology, history, ethics, law, anthropology and biology.
Your sources of inspiration may be different, and that only makes your thesis that much more original.
Even the implications of Norman descendants of Vikings (now feudal) against (1066 Hastings) English descendants of Vikings (Danelaw and joint decisions at the Thing) are included in your analysis.
I hope that USA 4.0 will consist of more parties than 2.
If America’s population were as well educated as Canada’s, the USA would not need to be fragmented. And if healthcare and social services were accessible to all, the tensions would not be so great.
But that is not the case. And therefore it makes sense if the USA gets a structure of relatively autonomous regions.
